In Q4 2023, the performance of the top 5 medical apps in Kenya on a unified platform exhibited diverse trends in downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

AMBOSS Medical Knowledge saw a fluctuating revenue trend, peaking at around $93 in mid-October and maintaining a consistent range between $35 and $91 in subsequent weeks. Weekly downloads showed a significant spike in early December with 96 downloads, followed by a decline towards the end of the quarter. Active users increased steadily from 91 in late September to 113 by mid-December, closing the quarter with 106 active users.

Tonome: Blood Pressure Monitor experienced relatively stable revenue, with weekly figures ranging from $25 to $43. However, the app did not register any downloads throughout the quarter. Active users slightly decreased from 35 at the start to 31 by early October.

Plabable for PLAB and MLA had a notable revenue increase, reaching $71 in mid-December. Despite the revenue fluctuations, the app did not register significant download activity during the quarter.
